Beware of Contractors with PhD’s . . .
When you have a PhD you already know most, if not all, there is to know about your profession right?
Not if your PhD stands for Post Hole Digger . . . which is what most contractors are addicted to doing. They aren’t bad people, they just don’t know that there is a better way. They are actually victims of effective marketing and large corporations that force their wares upon the public through big box retailers.
They think that just because they saw a cheap piece of junk at the hardware store that claimed to be a substitute for a centuries old practice that they know all there is to know.
That was what one contractor was heckling me with on a job site last summer. He was from up North and he had seen it all. He told me my products had been around for years and that they were just cheap substitutions that weren’t worth his time.
That was until I started slamming one into an old wood post still anchored in the surrounding concrete patio with my 85 lb jackhammer . . . and when I finished, there were no cracks, splits, chips in the pea gravel overlay.
I won’t repeat the dumbfounded expletives that began to proceed from his mouth. Needless to say he ate his words.
Oz-Post is a superior, cost effective solution that overshadows the supposed “competition” post anchors that are out there. It displaces subjective and inconsistent installation methods. It out performs the out dated hole digging, concrete pouring ceremonies that so many “professionals” still adhere to. It eliminates the most common threats to wood post integrity by protecting posts from prolonged exposure to subsurface moisture and physical damage from lawn maintenance equipment.
So ask your contractor where he got his PhD, make sure he’s not just a Post Hole Digger in disguise.
